I’m a Linux system administrator in Portland, Oregon.
Most of my work is dedicated towards bridging the gap between the high expectations set by consumer + web technology, and the relatively slow progress and release cycles produced by enterprise software vendors.
I’m highly interested and enthusiastic about open source. But at the moment I feel like APIs and portability across apps/platforms/providers is more important, and often not open source. I use + love a lot of non-open-source software is what I’m saying 
It’s not just about software
I have many interests, emotional outbursts, a keen sense of injustice about topics totally unrelated to open source software, business, and the Internet.
But this site is pretty much just about those things.
